In case you would like to stay for preventive reasons, it is possible to buy a night in the inpatient department or book one of our apartments, which are located in the clinic building. In the case of foreign clients, we recommend staying in the Czech Republic for at least one night after the operation, after which you can fly home safely.
Procedure under general anesthesia:
The procedure includes hospitalization for 1 to 3 nights, depending on the type of procedure. The price of hospitalization is included in the price of the procedure. We recommend foreign clients to stay in the Czech Republic for at least another 1-2 days. Then you can fly home safely. In case of interest, it is possible to book one of our apartments in advance, which are located in the clinic building.

What are the types of anesthesia?

Local anesthesia:
Local anesthesia leads to a loss of pain perception in a certain area, control of movements is preserved. Anesthesia is always applied according to the type of operation, either superficially with ointments or by injection into the tissues.
Analgosedation:
Analgosedation is a milder form of general anesthesia, where the client sleeps, does not perceive anything, but is not so deep in anesthesia. It is a solution especially for patients who have an uncontrollable fear of performance. Due to the medication, the patient may not remember the procedure at all.
General anesthesia:
General anesthesia is administered intravenously. The client is put into a deep sleep and does not perceive any stimuli and does not feel pain. The result is a deep unconsciousness from which you cannot be awakened by a painful stimulus.

Is the doctor who evaluates the photos also a surgeon?

It is always based on the agreement with the doctor and the client's choice. A doctor who determines a procedure during a personal or online consultation, or an online evaluation, is usually also an operating doctor.

Length of convalescence?

The convalescence time depends on the type and scope of the procedure. For smaller dermatological procedures, there is practically none and the client is not restricted in any way in the normal way of life to which he was accustomed. For medium and larger procedures, the time ranges from weeks to months and it is necessary to follow the doctor's recommendations. What liposuction technique do you use?

How are postoperative check-ups performed? Are these check-ups always necessary?

Foreign clients: Check-ups take place online based on the submitted photos. Photographs are necessary for the attending doctor to carefully evaluate the healing process.

Clinic visit and procedures due to measures related to Covid-19?

Do you have insurance? Are you insured on Covid-19?

The clinic is insured for professional liability. Unfortunately, insurance on Covid-19 is not possible. Due to risk reduction, all clinic staff observe all hygienic conditions for maximum safety. In case of impossibility for any reason to perform the procedure on the agreed date, it is possible to reorder the date of the procedure in accordance with the valid cancellation conditions. Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, we approach the solution individually. We recommend that foreign clients carry out travel insurance in case of illness or accident before leaving their country. The same insurance as, for example, when traveling on holiday.

What about pick up from / to the airport? Is it included in the price?

For all plastic surgeries, we offer free transport to the clinic and back within Prague. For foreign clients, we will be happy to arrange a pick up at Václav Havel Airport and a return way to the airport after hospitalization. When booking the date of the procedure, please tell us the flight number and arrival date.

How to send photos (before / after)?

Store the photos in a secure cloud storage, where only you, the operating doctor and qualified staff of the clinic will have access.

When and where are stitches removed?

Non-absorbable stitches are usually removed 7-14 days after the procedure. We recommend that you arrange in advance with the attending doctor at the place of residence whether he is able to pull out the stitches. If this is not possible, you can stay in Prague for the necessary time and we will pull the stitches out at our clinic.

What are the payment options?

Reservation deposit:

How long to stay in Prague?

Foreign clients: It is recommended to come to Prague at least one day before the operation because it is necessary to be at the clinic early in the morning on the day of the procedure. Depending on the type and scope of the procedure, we recommend staying in Prague for another 1-3 days after release. For procedures under local anesthesia, 1 day is sufficient, for procedures under general anesthesia and analgosedation, at least 2-3 days are sufficient. When to start taking medication (antibiotics, sterimar, order of medications).

The exact dosage of the medication is given in the doctor's instructions. The most important are antibiotics, which are used after each operation to prevent infection, the dosage is stated on the packaging and in the doctor's instructions that you will receive from us. The exact dosing time must be abided and the entire package must be used. Aescin is used against swelling and it is also necessary to consume the entire package.

Convalescence after larger operations (combined procedures).

After larger surgeries, you need to stay 7-10 days in home treatment, the body needs time to recover. We also recommend following a rational diet, alternating long sessions with short walks, practicing your arms and legs to avoid large swellings.

Showering and washing after surgery.

You can shower the surgical wound on the 2nd - 3rd day after the operation with lukewarm and clean water. Shower shampoo can run down your wound, but never wash your scars directly. After otoplasty and facelift, it is possible to wash your hair with the head in a bend on the 2nd day after the operation, but it is necessary to be careful of the wounds.

When is it possible to start sunbathing after surgery?

After a month from the operation, it is possible to be exposed to sunlight, but it is necessary to cover the wounds with a patch. To expose scars to sunlight is suitable after half a year and only with the use of a cream with a high factor.

When is it possible to start sunbathing in a solarium?

You can enter the solarium 3 months after the operation, but it is necessary to apply a protective factor and cover the wounds with a patch to prevent pigmentation of the scars.

When is it possible to go to the sauna?

You can visit the sauna until the wounds heal, at the earliest 1 month after the operation.

When are stitches removed?

Eyelids: The stitches are removed on the 7th day after surgery.

When to start sports?

When to have sex?

It always depends on the type and scope of the procedure. After breast surgery, you can have sex 2 weeks after the operation, after combined procedures and abdominoplasty at the earliest in 3 weeks. Always follow the recommendation of a doctor.

What diet to eat, are there any dietary restrictions?

There is no dietary restriction after the operation, but we recommend eating a light meals, omitting fatty and spicy foods so as not to unnecessarily burden the body. It is advisable to increase the income of fiber, fruits and vegetables.

When to fly a plane?

It depends on the type and scope of the procedure. For smaller operations, we recommend staying for another 1-2 days in Prague after leaving the clinic, for larger procedures 2-3 days, with buttock implants for at least 5 days.

Will there not be a problem with medicines and their quantities at the airport?

Keep all medicines in the original boxes. Disinfectants are always up to 100 ml in accordance with the standard of medicines and fluids that you can take on board.

How long does it take to see the result?

This is very individual and cannot be said exactly. The changes are visible immediately after the procedure. Stable results are usually within 3 - 6 months, facial procedures may be visible for up to 12 months.

Is it possible to get back to work quickly?

After each procedure, you should be in the home treatment on days 5. - 7. - rest, do not clean up, do not lift heavy things, go for short walks, alternate sitting with walking, do not eat heavy, fatty and too spicy foods. After the 1st week and earlier, it is possible to return to simpler office work. Take regular breaks, follow a drinking regimen, alternate between sitting and walking.

Surgical wounds and their healing

Open wound (bleeding):
If you feel that the wound is open, or if the wound is bleeding, apply a cold compress, lie still in a raised position and keep calm. If the bleeding cannot be stopped, consult with a doctor.

Inflammatory wound:
If you feel that the wound is inflamed, it may be an infection and you should consult with a doctor. You can take a picture of the wound and send us a photo by email and we will hand it over to the doctor, or you can come to the clinic in person.

Wound bandaging

Usually there is no need to bandage the wounds. Only if the cover detaches itself less than 1 - 2 weeks later, or if it is dirty, the cover needs to be replaced. After 14 days from the operation, you can peel off the cover and start applying greasy preparations to heal scars (Bi-oil, Coconut oil, etc).

Diarrhea

Follow the principles of healthy eating after the operation. The body needs energy and time to recover, and an inappropriate diet immediately after release (fried food, fast food, etc.) can cause indigestion. It can also be a reaction to antibiotics, so we recommend using probiotics to balance the intestinal microflora.

Elevated temperature

The first day after operation you may have a temperature, this is a normal reaction. If the temperature persists for other days, it may be an inflammation in the body (especially after augmentation) and it is necessary to consult with a doctor.

How is the process in case of postoperative complications?

Clients are obliged to report any changes in their health to their surgeon or attending doctor. The doctor will recommend further action based on the evaluation of the health condition.

Healing process and compression linen

We recommend starting rolling after the bruising, sensitivity and pain disappear, usually between the 2nd and 4th week. Rolling is performed 3-4 times a day for 10 minutes. It can also be performed over the compression linen, after the time necessary for wearing the liposuction linen has elapsed, it continues without it.

Large swellings in the pubic part

These swellings are common after abdominoplasty and liposuction in the near pubic area, when the swelling decreases downwards. It can be purple, but there is no need to worry, it will disappear in 6-8 weeks with other swellings.
